SMG has organized the largest clinically integrated orthopedic bundled payment program in the country through the BPCI initiative. This effort is comprised of nearly 2,000 physicians in 56 practices across 26 states managing 45,000 joint replacements annually.

CARE REDESIGN FOR BUNDLED PAYMENTS

Our patient-centered approach focuses on providing quality care for patients. We work with providers across the care continuum to identify protocols to reduce unnecessary costs while maintaining a high standard of care. Through physician-driven care redesign, we implement standardized protocols to provide enhanced patient care, achieve improved clinical outcomes, and reduce the overall cost of services.

RESULTS

Our management and administration of BPCI participating orthopedic physician groups has led to many successes. We are meeting goals outlined by CMS including: improved care coordination, cost reduction, and improved outcomes.
